Child Care

I am a very outgoing person and adore all of the infants and children that I am lucky enough to care for. I typically hope that each family that I help take care of their child will eventually see me as family because I believe that' s a very important relationship to have with one another. I come from a very big Irish family, where taking care of each other is our main priority, and I have adopted this ideal to be a part of each of my clients family's lives. I am a very adventurous person and like to allow children to see and be engrossed in nature, as well as singing and playing in the house. Starting with relatives' and close friends' children, I have now been working with clients from care. com for about 6 years, and I have loved them all. I work many with kids that have autism, and I am infant and pediatric certified in first aid, CPR and recovery. I am a double major in nursing and psychology, as well as having courses in child development. Proficient in American Sign Language.

Cat started with us when my baby was 4 months old, and stayed on until he started daycare last month. She was very tuned in to his needs, incredibly helpful when we sleep trained him, kept a log of his sleeping and eating each day to help us find the best schedule, taught him (and us) baby signs, took him on walks and to the park. She is passionate about helping babies get a good start in life. I feel lucky we had her.

Child Care

Hello parents, My name is Maria, I am currently looking for a family to work for either part-time or full-time. I am a mom myself, I have two beautiful girls, the eldest is 10 years old, the youngest 5. I do drop off my girls to school in the morning so I would prefer to have a schedule that begins at 8 a.m. I recently worked for the M family part-time, taking care of their 14-month-old son from September 2018 until May 24 2019. Mrs. M is a school teacher, due to summer vacation I am no longer working with them. I began caring for children in my home country Honduras where I was a preschool teacher. Over the years I have taken care of many families. I have an open availability, I am flexible with the schedule and have excellent references. I'm fluent in Spanish, I understand and speak a little English as well. I will be glad to provide you with any further information or references if needed. Thank you for your time.

Maria was an amazing nanny/babysitter for our family for 7 plus years. We used Maria close to full time when our daughter was a baby, moved to part time once our daughter started preschool and then to occasional babysitting once our daughter was in elementary school. Maria was always on time, never sick and very flexible to accommodate our ever-changing schedule. I was impressed with how engaged Maria was with our daughter - always singing, reading and talking to her and taking her to classes at the library, park and on outings to the zoo, Academy of Sciences etc. She also helped with potty training and got our daughter to be a more consistent napper. I would offer Maria our highest recommendation and would be happy to speak with any prospective families -- just e-mail me

Child Care Nanny

Avg response < 1 hrs
Hi there! My name is Brenda, I'm 21years old and originally from Brazil. Although I'm quite young, I have over 6years of paid experience with childcare and have great references on Care. com While attending High School, I started to work part-time with childcare at a nursery/preschool as a English teacher. My classes ranged from 10 to 20 children and the ages were from 1 to 5 years old. I have 2 years of experience working as a full time live-in nanny for a family in SF, for two children. When I started to work, they were 6mo old (she is now 2 and a half) and 4 years old (he is now 6). And also for the past 6 months I've been working with a baby(he is now 10months old.) After that I took care of a cute baby boy for about 6months. I'm currently a personal assistant and only getting some extra babysitting jobs. I have 2 families at the moment that I babysit every week. I have experience and am comfortable driving children and have a clean driving record. Thank you!

Brenda has been our relatively full-time (30 hours/week) nanny since October 2018. Our son was 4.5 months old when she started and she has been great with him. She takes him to the library and to the neighborhood park, and she regularly sends us cute picture updates. She can also get him to nap more regularly than even we can. Our schedule is difficult with a 5am start, but Brenda has always been punctual. She also hasn't missed any days, so we haven't had to scramble to find alternate care. Unfortunately, her schedule is changing so she won't be able to meet our early hours, and we're sad to see her go. We definitely recommend her to anyone that needs child care.
