At Gwiggles Daycare, we are passionate about providing high quality childcare and creating a loving, safe environment for children. The happiness, growth, and development of our daycare kids is of utmost importance to us. We want to positively impact the lives of as many children and families as we can by offering care that will assist in children's overall holistic growth and help prepare them for future success. At Gwiggles Daycare, our core values are Love, Knowledge, Freedom of Expression and Teamwork.

Our daycare offers families with children who are nearing preschool age the option to participate in a well designed preschool preparation program. Our daycare also offers a structured schedule, fun activities, and many additional services. Some of our services include Spanish exposure, consult meetings with families, and access to our secured live streaming cameras. Some of our many activities include daily trips to local parks, storytelling, arts and crafts, and music.

We believe that children should be free to grow, learn, and explore in their own way and at their own pace. We work together with parents and guardians to encourage each child to discover and develop their own individual gifts, talents and interests in the manner which is best for them.

Gwiggles director, Tessa Williams, has seven years' experience working with children in various settings. Her first position working with children was as Lead Instructor at a horse back riding summer camp for kids where she developed the program's curriculum and led classes. From there, she worked as part of a preschool learning program where she helped implement the program curriculum. Tessa has also worked at an after-school program as a kindergarten teacher, a Paraprofessional providing one on one in school assistance for children with learning differences, and a Senior Behavior Therapist providing therapy in applied behavior analysis.

Glen Park Montessori Preschool invites children to become acquainted with our natural world through an arrange of planned activities, Anthropology Days, and Family Meet-Up Days designed to foster a love of and appreciation for nature and an understanding of the interconnectedness of all life.

Rosemary R., founder, Director of Glen Park Montessori Preschool, opened the school 22 years ago as a small school of 12 students. Since that time, the school has continued to thrive and grow into the 36-student, two-classroom school it is today.

In the year 2000, Glen Park Montessori Preschool moved to its current location on Chenery Street, in San Francisco. The school's new, two-story structure was built to specification as a daycare center, and as such, our classrooms conform to the latest requirements for structure and safety and feature wonderful amenities like kid-sized toilets and sinks.

Behind the school, our play yard includes a deck, a lovely garden, and the ball yard for gross motor activity (a.k.a. running, climbing, and playing), in the company of a hundred-year-old redwood tree. We are located two blocks from a city mini-park, The Meadow, and just six blocks from Glen Canyon Park, a restored natural habitat with abundant wildlife.

Sapling Forest Preschool

Julius Kahn Playground, San Francisco, CA

Costimate: $425/wk

At Sapling Forest Preschool, we strive to develop life-long learners who appreciate and care for the natural world around them. It is our goal to prepare children academically, socially, and emotionally, not just for Kindergarten but for their entire lives. While doing so, we aim to foster a love for the outdoors, a caring attitude towards the environment, and a kindness towards all things living.

In order to achieve this mission we have curated an amazing program with the needs of children at its heart. The outdoor environment lends us tremendous flexibility in selecting our areas of the day and thanks to this flexibility, children constantly engage with new environments, curiosities, and ideas. As we rotate through these areas of the day children have the opportunity to revisit familiar spaces while applying more developed ways of thinking to them. As our students explore the natural world around them our educated and trained staff will be right by their sides to ensure risks are taken in a safe and healthy manner. In addition, our staff members provide numerous opportunities for your child to grow intellectually. By combining a strong curriculum with a child's intrinsic interest in the world around them, we have no doubt that Sapling Forest Preschool will start your child off on the path towards a bright future.
