Tutor — San Francisco, CA
I began working with children when I taught swimming lessons at the age of 15 at the YMCA. From there on my experience in the work world has been primarily with children. I was a certified USA swimming coach for three years and coached children ages 5 to 18. I gained experience working with children and adolescents of many ages and abilities including children with special needs. I spent one school year working as a 1:1 aide in a first grade classroom where I assisted 2-3 boys with autism throughout the school day. In addition, I worked in the after school program where I was responsible for the supervision of children and organizing and facilitating indoor and outdoor activities. For the last two years I have served as a summer nanny and on call babysitter for an 8-year-old girl and 10-year-old boy. We spent outdoor time hiking, swimming in the lake and biking. Indoor time was spent crafting, baking and playing games. I have been certified in CPR/First Aid since 2006. In addition to childcare, I have three years experience as the caretaker of my grandmother with Alzheimer's. I assisted with daily living skills like dressing, bathing, feeding and changing. I am currently employed at an elementary school in San Francisco and work with children with special needs.

Babysitter And Tutor — San Francisco, CA
I've been working with children since I graduated college. I am originally from Japan, and moved here because my husband is American. In Japan, I worked at an after school tutoring school, and taught a wide range of subjects. My specialty was English. I also took care of two young girls. I have held regular babysitting jobs since moving. I have cared for children of all ages, including infants, toddlers, and elementary school age kids. Whatever your needs may be, I am confident that I will be able to provide the service you desire. I place an emphasis on ensuring that the children I care for receive value from being with me. I am attentive, set a positive example by displaying good character and values, and enjoy tutoring and working on homework and/or study materials with kids. As for tutoring, here I have been tutoring kindergarten and elementary school children in a few subjects, including English, Japanese, and math. I utilize workbooks and supplementary materials, and also assist in homework. For younger kids, I can also provide an arts and crafts time. I have plenty of references available, upon request! Contact me and I can also forward a copy of my resume!

Part Time Tutor — San Francisco, CA
I am passionate about teaching and like to see my students pass with with flying colors. I believe that all children are intelligent and we have to help them develop and use their skills. For instance, H. who was 12 years, and needed help in science, maths and English with coaching assistance secured a 4. 0. On the other hand, M.; 8 years needed help in completion of assignments and projects. Her need was to be more systematic and coaching helped her over come that challenge. Finally F., who was pursuing Masters in Human Resources, needed coaching for his assignments and projects, with my tutoring assistance he graduated with a 4. 0. I believe that teaching with concepts and real life examples helps the student to understand and implement the concept. I am open to work with last minute jobs as well ! :) :) Thank you!

Part-Time Academic Tutor Available — San Francisco, CA
Hello families! My name is Alice, and I am a recent graduate from the University of California, Berkeley. I majored in Integrative Biology, but have a well-rounded background in both sciences and humanities. I look forward to utilizing my academic experiences to improve the scholastic endeavors of others. I have recently completed a one-year pre-medical post-baccalaureate program at San Francisco State University, and am currently working as a private tutor. During my years at a university, I have not only been eager to strengthen my own academic background, but also to help others succeed on their individual journeys to scholastic achievement. In recent years, I have developed extensive experience tutoring students from the 6th grade all the way to the undergraduate level. The high school subject areas that I most frequently tutor include (but are not limited to): Biology, Composition, American Literature, Geometry, Algebra, and Calculus. Additionally, I have experience with SAT Reading, SAT Writing, and SAT Math preparation. Most notably, I have served as a volunteer tutor at a state university for undergraduate students planning to enter the health professions. As a tutor for the Summer Science Institute at this school, I have helped university students in the following courses: Introductory Biology, Organic Chemistry I and II, Biochemistry, Physiology, and Endocrinology. I am also available to tutor for the Biology section of the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT), having received a 13 in that section myself. With my experience, I am confident that I will be able to effectively identify students areas of weakness, and target their academic strengths. In addition, my two years as an undergraduate laboratory apprentice have fostered academic independence and strong analytical skills. In the process, I have learned the value of organization, time management, and self-motivation not only in the success of my projects, but also in all other endeavors. Lastly, having received my bachelor's degree in Integrative Biology from UC Berkeley, I am particularly familiar with the rigorous academic environment that surrounds undergraduate and graduate admissions. Personal experience with this sometimes-stressful process will allow me to provide meaningful insight to you and your students. I appreciate your consideration of my resume, and look forward to hearing from you soon!
