I have prior experience working with children as a nanny and as a mother. I currently am a preschool teacher and still accepting part-time sitting jobs. Throughout my career I have acquired experience working with children of all ages. My experience, besides looking after, includes teaching homework, supervising reading, coordinating play dates and driving to after-school activities. I have seriously dedicated some time to invest in my education and I am very proud to hold an ECE/CD (Early Childhood Education/Child Development) certificate. My future objective is to further develop my education and possibly work towards attaining a higher degree within the field. I am known to be a very communicative person and have managed to develop a great group of friends from different backgrounds who share multiple interests like me. I am considered to be very patient, caring, responsible and aware. I keep my heart open for suggestions on how to get better at the things I do.

Carmen is a wonderful babysitter. She's attentive and caring with our son, a great communicator, punctual, and respectful.

Carmen helped us on a number of occasions for date night. Although our son was mostly sleeping during Carmen's stay, but she was always punctual, very accommodating and warm. thank you Carmen!

Carmen has been helping us out with occasional babysitting for date nights. She's been caring for my son since he was 5 weeks old! She is dependable and really sweet with our baby. And it's been nice to see her transition from caring for a tiny little newborn to playing with a very active 9 month old.

Carmen worked for us for almost 2 years since our son was 4 months old until he started preschool when he turned 2. She worked with us 3 days a week 4 hours a day. My son really liked her and enjoyed spending time with her. Carmen always found the right activity for him depending on his age, initially it was tummy time and reading books and later taking him out for a walk in the park. She was always responsible and dependable while taking care of our son. We were very happy with Carmen and we will keep working with her for date nights,

Carmen is wonderful! Our daughter is 14 months old and we still hadn't found a babysitter that we liked, until Carmen! From the moment Carmen walked in the door, we just felt so comfortable with her. She has a very kind and warm personality, and very trustworthy. She was great with our daughter who is often very slow to warm up to people, and she even did our laundry while our daughter napped! We love Carmen and have already booked her again.

Carmen was amazing with our 11 month old daughter. I met Carmen for coffee to chat first and thought she was a perfect match. She then babysat twice within 1 week. Our daughter took a liking to her right away and I could tell she felt completely comfortable with her. Communication was great, she responded quickly to text messages. Next time we need a sitter, Carmen will certainly be the first person we call. Thank you Carmen!

Carmen watched our two children (4 months old and 2 months old). She was great. She showed up right on time and my son immediately took a liking to her. She is wonderful! :)

Carmen is fabulous! She's always on time and very dependable. She's incredibly sweet with my 9 month old son and comes up with fun games to play. Highly recommended!!!

Carmen was my son's preschool teacher and she is amazing. She is so caring and loving for the children, which is exactly what they need at that age. She is always in a great mood and upbeat with the children. She is super creative and comes up with the most amazing art projects for the kids. My son really loved having Carmen as his teacher, he felt very safe and secure with her around. She has great knowledge about the development of young children and knows exactly what they need and exactly how to interact with them.

Carmen is well liked by the children. Each week Carmen plans creative and fun art projects for the children. She shows up ready to work with the children.

We love Carmen. She is my daughter's preschool teacher and is so patient with all the kids. The transformation my daughter has had since coming in to Carmen's class is incredible. My daughter used to be a little aggressive, demanding, and a trouble maker in her other class. When I told Carmen about it, she was surprised, saying that she didn't see that behavior in my daughter in her class. I believe it is because of Carmen's calm demeanor that has made this change in my daughter.

Carmen worked in the tutoring program I run for an elementary school. She worked with 5 different children and 3 teachers. Carmen was punctual & reliable, communicated well with the teachers and helped the children make marked improvement in the areas where they struggled. The teachers all had positive experiences working with her and commented on her pleasant demeanor and good rapport with the children.

Carmen is very friendly, a good listener, a good communicator. She anticipates needs and I trust her judgement. She is also very well educated and seems to really enjoy helping people.

I work as a physician. I know Carmen for 7 years. Carmen was referred to me by Renato - he is a friend of mine. Carmen came to our lives in the right moment!! My father Jose is now 84 and my Mother Magie 80, both in great need of help with light meal preparation, medication organization, transport to medical appointments, exercises prescribed by physical therapist, laundry and cleaning. Most importantly Carmen gave my parents a warm and compassionate company. In 2011, I had a baby girl, and again Carmen was there for me after I returned to work from maternity leave - this time with the baby: babysitting, coordinating nap time, stroller walks. She was there for us weekends and part time on week days. We moved from San Francisco to Walnut Creek in August 2013 and it was then too far for Carmen to come here. We miss her dearly. It is without hesitance I recommend Carmen. She is reliable, easygoing, patient, organized, always on-time, and has great communication skills. Carla C. M.D.

We met at Fox School about 4 years ago when you guys first moved to Belmont; our children Carmen and I met about 4 years ago when our children became close friends while attending Fox School. Carmen helps me whenever I need assistance with my son Sean as my husband and I both travel frequently. Carmen picks up from school, helps with homework coordinates play dates, drives to after-school activities, and completes some chores in the house (light cleaning, laundry). She also takes my son for extended overnights when I or my husband go on business trips. As my husband and I have no family in the country, we have limited childcare options. Carmen is trustworthy, caring, dependable, patient and kind and one of the few people I trust the care of my son to. She would make a great addition to your team!
