About Emily

Hello! I have more than 10 years experience working with children. I taught pre-schoolers as an assistant teacher for four years starting at age 16. I've been a full-time, live-in nanny, a part-time nanny (many times), a teacher of a Waldorf summer program, a teacher of after school curriculum at school and an employee of Supportive Services, --a service that places care givers with children and elders with special needs. I have an MA degree in dance/movement therapy (a form of creative arts therapy) from UCLA and have worked with children using movement, dance, non-verbal self-expression and communication. I absolutely love working with children! I come with a background in the arts (theatre, dance, choreography, photography, writing). As a dance/movement therapist, I have facilitated group and individual therapy with children, teens, adults and elders in psychiatric, rehabilitation and private settings.
