About Erica

I provide reliable childcare with the experience and skill of a preschool teacher. I have 8 years experience working for private families, including two long-term nannying arrangements lasting more than a year. I'm about to finish my 2nd year of teaching preschool as a lead teacher with a class of 12 students aged 18mo- 5 years old. My childcare ideology centers around respect, patience, and relationship. I practice conscious discipline and always see challenging behavior as an opportunity to teach emotional regulation and communication. I'm very familiar with facilitating play as well as knowing when to observe a child's own self discovery. I actively look for activities that work to improve unique developmental skills. Early childhood education is my passion and career. In mid June, I will be taking a break from teaching to focus on furthering my education. I am looking for a full-time nannying position with a family that I can bond with and create a lasting relationship.
