About Allyson

I am a licensed occupational therapist with over 25 years of experience. I love working with seniors in their homes because it is where they are most comfortable and reflects who they are. I like to focus on the client's needs and help them improve their independence in ADLs and other meaningful activities. I incorporate cognitive and functional activities for clients with early stage dementia to facilitate a sense of accomplishment. I am happy to cook, run errands, drive to doctor appointments, assist with organization of tasks, and provide therapeutic exercise. I can assess the safety of the environment to remove potential obstacles that could lead to falls. I am easygoing, trustworthy, and will provide companionship and attention to the needs of your loved one. I will always be available to talk with family members and provide support. I generally work with clients for a minimum of 3-4 hours, 1-2 days a week.
