About Abigail

Hi, families! My name is Abby, and I am a high school English teacher in Washington, DC. I have experience teaching middle school - 12th graders, and I am certified in both general education and special education (kindergarten to 12th grade). I graduated from George Washington University in 2017, and I earned my Masters from Johns Hopkins University in 2019. I have current FBI background checks, CPR training, trauma training, and more, & aside from my teaching experience, I've been babysitting for 10+ years in DC and Philly. I love working with kids of all ages, & I am prepared to provide students tutoring and academic support (especially as children navigate online learning during Covid). I love to play outside and keep kids active and away from screens, and I am happy to cook, clean, and support the household as needed. As a teacher, I understand the burden on families trying to navigate work & having children learning at home, and I am hoping to make this process easier on families.
