I am 26 years old with a 21-year-old brother with Autism. I spent many of my younger years helping to care and educate my brother while also attending special needs camps with him to assist with other special needs children. Autism is present in my husbands family and I am very passionate about helping children and adults that face Autism Spectrum Disorders. I also have experience with helping children with Downs Syndrome and other various learning disabilities. I spent 6 months in 2012 caring for a 10-year-old boy with Autism. I was also given the opportunity to work for a local non-profit organization in Ohio that provides prepared therapy & educational spaces for children with autism and their individualized educational programs. These children are often misunderstood by society and I love nothing more than to help them express themselves and learn. They really do have so much to offer the world. I also previously worked for a nanny service in Ohio since the age of 17. I was responsible for caring for children from newborn-12 years of age for various families.
