During my time at an adult foster care home, I worked as a caregiver to individuals with varying needs. For residents with physical disabilities, I assisted with mobility needs such as navigating wheelchairs and using mechanical lifts for transfers. I also provided personalized care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping with tasks like personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming. I learned alternative communication methods like sign language and nonverbal cues to effectively interact and understand their needs.
