I also volunteered as an assistant coach for VIP soccer for children with different types of cognitive/mental disabilities (often accompanied by physical disability). The past two summers I have worked as a one-on-one aide for a 13-year-old autistic girl, helping her with academics as well as independence-related tasks like doing laundry, counting money, and preparing her own food.
