My name is Serena, and I am the K-5 Autism Teacher for my school division. ALL of my students are boys ranging from 5-11 years old, so I have been forced to become an expert on boys whether I want to be or not! Prior to working in my current position I taught children with Learning Disabilities for one year and throughout college gained 4 years of experience as an aide for children with ASD. I am originally from New York, but moved to Virginia after getting married to the man of my dreams! We celebrated our 2 year anniversary last July! I am excited and enjoy the challenge of working with children with ASD. As they say, if you know one child with autism, you know ONE child with autism.
