I have been an assistant teacher in various special needs classrooms for the past 7 years. I've worked in elementary, middle school and high school settings with verbal and non-verbal children who possess mild to severe special needs. I enjoy every aspect of working with this population, from lesson planning and behavior modification to life skills and community training. I have also provided home services for students in the past, helping parents deal with problematic behaviors exhibited at home and providing respite as needed. I currently provide care for several children after school in Arlington and am looking for additional afternoon/evening hours one or two days/week.
