At a very young age, I had to assist with special needs individuals, my niece who is only 6 months older than me with mental retardation. Growing up, I would shadow her parents and help with gathering her daily medicines and private learning motor skills. I've worked for a families with a special needs children. Also, my mother was a private home nurse for 30+ years and I would go to a lot of her clients with her. I grew to love them as much as she did and they cared for me as well. Still today at 23 years old, I visit her clients she cared for when I was just 4 years old. So I have always had the passion for caring for others.
