I am a fourth year student studying Occupational Therapy at The University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. I completed the requirements for a Bachelor of Science in Health Science effective December 2013, and am continuing with my school's six-year Doctor of Occupational Therapy program (DrOT anticipated May 2016). My experiences in a substantial amount of fieldwork over the past two years have prepared me to be a valuable caregiver for those with special needs. I have experience and feel comfortable working with children of all different ages and with varying physical and mental capabilities. For example, I worked with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and designed and implemented activities for both a class and one-on-one, and helped them feel secure and understand their boundaries and limits. I am confident I can provide a safe environment and meaningful experience for anyone. Because I have worked with children and clients of widely varying ages and capabilities, I can act appropriately in new situations and challenges.
