Hi! I have been working with children, teens, and adults with special needs for 10 years. I cannot imagine ever working in any other field. I obtained my degree in Special Education from Concordia University Chicago and got licensed as a Learning Behavior Specialist I in 2010. I currently work as a Behavior Interventionist where I utilize ABA therapy. I have had experience with many disabilities, such as; Autism Spectrum Disorders, PDD, ADHD, ADD, Down Syndrome, Rett Syndrome, Fragile X, Cognitive Disabilities, Developmental Disabilities, Cerebral Palsy, and CDLS. I also have had the amazing experience to work with several types of communication devices, applications, and strategies such as; ProloQuo, boardmaker, PECS, and Dynavox devices. When I am working with individuals with special needs I feel fulfilled. Being a part of this world, and culture has changed my life! working with this population has made a huge positive impact on my life. I dream of making a positive impact on these individuals just as great as the one I received.
