I am an experienced babysitter and educator who is looking for a summertime nanny position. I have experience working with people of all ages in a variety of settings, which includes working as a Full Inclusion Aide for the Petaluma City School District, teaching children's art camps and classes, running a youth rock climbing program, and privately home schooling elementary age students. Before working with children, I worked for a non-profit organization serving adults with developmental disabilities. Currently, I am a full-time student at Santa Rosa Junior College, and coach youth and adult rock-climbing classes. I plan on applying to nursing school programs next year. Over the summer, I will be taking a 12 week program to become a licensed phlebotomist, and am looking for a position as a part-time nanny during the mornings/afternoons (my classes will be held in the evenings). When I'm not busy with work and school, I enjoy rock-climbing, hiking, cooking, yoga, and travel.

Letter of Recommendation February 26, 2014 As a teacher for students with disabilities who are fully included in general education classrooms in Petaluma, I have had the pleasure of working with Bronwyn from August 2009-June 2012. As an instructional assistant for a student with Down syndrome, Bronwyn primarily provided instructional support in first, second and third grade general education classrooms. In addition to her student, she also supported other students with special needs including orthopedic disabilities and autism, bringing to their programs a clear understanding of individualized instruction across grade levels. In addition to working as an elementary inclusion support teacher, I also work as a university supervisor for fieldwork students who are working toward their credential in the area of severe disabilities. In this position, I frequently recommend that my student teachers collaborate with general education teachers to share ideas and strategies that may increase student participation and success. Because I truly value this team approach, I have always appreciated Bronwyn's excellent relationships with general education teachers, parents, adaptive physical education teacher, speech therapist, occupational therapist, adaptive technology support person, and me. With a naturally supportive style, she shared excellent observations and ideas at IEP meetings, annual district-wide Adaptation Fairs for instructional assistants, and team meetings. In all situations she demonstrated a natural ability to work with school staff and family members while responding to their concerns in a non-judgmental, thoughtful and positive manner. Inclusion students with special needs in general education classrooms require ongoing curricular adaptations and modifications; Bronwyn made the necessary adjustments without hesitation. She implemented "on-the-spot" strategies that demonstrate creative thinking and excellent problem solving skills. She took the initiative to approach the general education teachers and other support providers to discuss new ideas, challenges and grade-level curriculum. In addition, she collected data related to IEP goals and positive behavior support plans, wrote socials stories with me and supported social skills "Lunch Bunch" meetings with an emphasis on teaching general education peers American Sign Language. Bronwyn delivered instructional programs in classrooms and school environments with systematic procedures. Her experience includes implementing behavior and instructional programs using variety of techniques and data collection strategies. She is aware of the need for procedures and task analyses to be clear so that consistent, systematic instruction may occur across staff members and settings; her presentation is clean and direct. Bronwyn delivers instruction with confidence and a positive attitude. She presents clear expectations in a calm manner and follows through with consistent consequences with all students in each classroom. I appreciate the way that she interacts with the school community bringing her bright, enthusiastic style to every new situation. Bronwyn is a sensitive, talented instructor; I am confident that she will be an asset to your school and must acknowledge that I miss her terribly. Respectfully, Maureen Full Inclusion Specialist Fieldwork Supervisor
