My name is Abbie and I love working with people with disabilities. I have a sister with MR, and have helped take care of her my entire life. For the past 2 years I have been working for a recreation center for people with disabilities, and I consider the participants I work with as not just part of my job, but as my friends. I learn something new every day, and I look forward to learning more! I am attending school to be a special education teacher, and have already attended a few seminars and trainings (outside of school) on how to better work with children with special needs.
