I began tutoring regularly after college when I moved to Houston, primarily in math. From a high school teacher enrolled in an MA program to a third grader in elementary school, I've tutored a range of students in math at different stages of their educational development. In Seattle, I was a Teaching Assistant in microeconomics, macroeconomics and statistics. These roles required lecturing at least once a week and holding several office hours every week to address student's questions and concerns regarding the course material. I like to make tutoring sessions fun and interactive to keep the tutee engaged. I enjoy explaining complex concepts in simple, understandable language and discussing or explaining abstract concepts. I often find new ways to understand or conceptualize a concept can appear even to the person doing the explaining.
