Experienced Part-Time Mathematics Tutor
Avg response < 1 hrs
The first experience I had with "teaching" was in the 7th grade when I explained a math concept to my class at the board. I knew then that I wanted to be a math teacher! I am passionate about teaching and helping students learn by understanding what they are doing. I am a firm believer that everyone can learn and excel when it comes to math - it's the method of teaching that needs to be changed. Everyone learns in a different way, and my goal as a tutor is to find the right method to present concepts so they click! I have had 4+ years of experience tutoring middle school to college aged students in subjects ranging from Pre-Algebra to Calculus II. I taught ACT and SAT prep classes for one year. I graduated with a degree in Secondary Education and Mathematics. I would love to connect with you to discuss what you are looking for in a tutor! Feel free to reach out and ask whatever questions you may need. I want you to find the perfect fit for yourself/your child!

Part-time Elementary Math Tutor

Hey parents! My name is Natalia. I am19. I m looking for a tutoring job that allows me to bring my daughter (10mo). Experience: I have tutored quite a few neighborhood kids back in Georgetown Texas before I moved to Houston. Now I just help my sister with her with homework; they're currently doing fractions. Method: When working with group of kids I have them do their homework to the best of their abilities. Then have them compare answers. If there are wrong answers I look to see how they got them, then show them the way to get the correct answer with a practice problem. After I have them do the homework problem again. If working with an individually student I have them do their homework & work with them on incorrect problems. Then work with them on made up problems till they are comfortable enough to do it alone. I hope I meet the qualifications you're looking for to extend the knowledge of your (not so) little one(s).
