About Tabitha

Hi! My name is Tabitha. I am the oldest of 7 children! Growing up with siblings helped me realize I want a career caring for children. I volunteered in my siblings classes and after school programs throughout my middle school/ high school years. Following high school I pursued college. I earned two associate degrees. One in Liberal Arts and the other in Early Childhood Education. While completing my two year degrees, I was an AVID tutor at the high school I graduated from. I transferred to a four year college and earned my bachelor's degree in Child and Adolescent Development. I was required to volunteer and complete a practicum at a preschool. I also nannied through Care. com from 2018 through 2022. My partner and I moved to San Antonio in 2021. Beginning in July 2022 I was hired at IDEA Public Schools. For the 22/23 school year I taught 5th grade math and for the 23/24 and 24/25 school year I am teaching 7th grade math.
