I have worked as a special needs camp counselor before and am currently seeking employment as an ABA therapist. I specifically worked with a young autistic boy. Although he acted out with behavioral issues such as hitting, biting, and yelling, it truly was a joy to work with him. My boss taught me how to help him control his emotions and depict great patience and love towards him. Although it presented its challenges, the love we had for each other at the end of the camp was so rewarding. He was so excited to introduce me to his parents, and I will never forget my experience with him. He is an extremely intelligent boy, and I truly was blessed to learn from him.
