Hi! My name is Starr and I am a 26-year-old former elementary teacher! Before moving to Maryland, I taught English as a Second Language for 2 years at an elementary school in Iowa. There, I worked with students in grades Kindergarten-4th. While in college, studying Elementary Education, I had the opportunity to work with children in New York, Hawaii, and more. Learning about different cultures is my passion! When I was in college, I worked at a daycare. There, I was the lead teacher for the afterschool program, in the elementary school. While working there, I had the opportunity to work with 3 and 4-year-olds. As a former teacher, I love doing research and planning fun, developmental activities for the day! I would love to see what crafts, learning, and adventures are to come! CPR certified

Starr was amazing with my kids. She was very friendly, patient, and went above and beyond to keep my high energy kids entertained and happy. We were worried that the kids will ask for us and cry, but thanks to Starr, they didn't even notice we were gone. Her overall work was very professional and organized. She's also very flexible and understanding. Hope to work with Starr again.
