My experience caring for those with special needs began when I was in college, studying for my Bachelor's degree. I worked in a group home setting, where I cared for children, youth, and adult residents. As the disability laws changed, so did my interest in working with people with special needs. I worked with adults with low to moderate support needs, who lived independently in the community or with a parent or guardian. In addition to working with adults in this capacity, I also worked with young children with special needs and their families in a community setting. I provided activities, education, and consultation in the areas of gross motor development, fine motor development, activities of daily living, speech and language development, social skill development, and play skill development. After working for a few years in these capacities, I decided to expand my knowledge and skills and went on to earn a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy. I am passionate about what I do for one reason and one reason only. That is to support people in their life journey, who desire self-directed change in their development, personal growth, and healing. Please note that the scheduling availability is somewhat flexible and is always open for discussion. Thank you.
