I became interested in home health care when my dad became terminally ill. I wanted to make sure that he was comfortable and well cared for so I took it upon myself to step into that role. I managed my father's medication, took him to the bathroom, fed him and sponge bathed him daily. I am grateful that I was able to be there with him making sure he got the best care possible until he passed. For the last 7 years I took care of two different women with dementia. My every day responsibilities were to get them bathed, dressed and fed all three meals. I managed their required daily medication. I would then spend the day with them reading, going for walks in a wheelchair, watching tv and talking. I also would stay in the home at times so the family could go away. Camille recently passed peacefully at home. I was there to support the family and say goodbye.

Silvia was an incredible companion for my mother who is unfortunately dealing with the onset of dementia. She consistently kept her mentally and physically active and enabled my mom to continue to live a fulfilled life - all of which are extremely important for her to have. They quickly formed a great bond; Silvia made her feel safe and encouraged her to continue to do the things she loves (i.e. gardening, outdoor walks, etc.) Silvia is very energetic, personable and hard working - she's always willing to help out and regularly handled tasks including grocery shopping, cooking/meal prep, and light housework. She was flexible with her hours and would always stay late if needed - she even once visited my mom after hours to make sure she was OK after she had a minor fall earlier that day. Our family was very lucky to have Silvia and would 10/10 recommend her!
