My undergraduate degree was in pre-physician assistant studies with a minor in psychology. Upon graduating, I interned in Honduras, working with under served rural communities. When I returned back to the states, I was randomly offered a job as a special programs instructional assistant for the school district. Over the course of the school year, I fell in love with special education and knew that I had found where I was meant to be. I ditched the idea of physician assistant school and am excited to be in my first year of the special educator program at Western Oregon University!
