About Saundra

Some of my best and most endearing pastimes are: spending time with my family, playing outdoors, reading a good book, sharing a big laugh, and keeping good company while I can eat some great-tasting food. My skills are: I'm patient with the elderly (and disabled people). I'm trained in First Aid and CPR/AED. and I can carry a descent conversation in Spanish. I fell in love with the world of caregiving from my first client (Judy) a Down syndrome lady who was a joy to be around (she made providing care easy for me because her personality was funny and boisterous and jubilant), and then she moved home to NY with her Mom to be closer to extended family. And since then I have provided care for a lovely little lady (in her mid-twenties with severe mental disabilities). (I'm also willing to flex hours when needed.)
