About Sarah

As a Teach For America corp. member, I taught 7th grade science at KIPP: Spirit for two years. I thoroughly enjoyed the job and constantly reiterated the importance of college to my students. I assisted students in obtaining summer programs at various universities. As a student at Rice University, I worked and volunteered as a tutor. I tutored a high school student in a variety of subjects including the SAT and ACT. I also assisted her in college preparedness by helping her research, draft, and write her personal statement and resume. Also, I volunteered as a tutor at an elementary school. In addition, as an undergraduate student, I volunteered at high school college fairs, advised prospective students, and planned campus recruitment events. At my current job, I also counsel the occasional high school student and primarily college students regarding law school. I have enjoyed working with students at every institution and all levels.
