I spent two years taking care of my wife, who was a peritoneal dialysis patient, and 10 years caring for her blind mother (cooking, feeding, etc.), including end of life care. I want to care for an elderly or disabled man or woman as a companion/caretaker, and perform such functions as preparing one meal, shop for groceries and household items, clean up the room, do laundry, repair things where needed, read, teach, encourage, make life more pleasant and less boring for them, etc. I'm a well-educated, retired, older professional who has maintained his stamina and cognitive functions by regularly exercising and living a healthy lifestyle. I would like to work 3-4 hours per day, mornings preferred, 5 or 6 days per week, within a five mile radius of Lynnwood, starting ASAP. Thank you.
