I started caring for the seniors at an early age. My grandmother had a stroke when I was a teenager and I helped my mother take care of her. After my grandmother died, I decided to go to the nursing school and help the sick, but unfortunately along the way and being young, I diverted to another career which I did for years. I decided to go back to my passion 15 years ago, which was taking care of the seniors. I went to do my Certified Nursing Assistant training and completed. I started working for an assisted living and worked there for eight years, and at the same time working with different home health agencies. At one time, I got a part time job in the nursing home where I also gained a lot of experience in caring for clients who are bed bound. I have came across a lot of clients with a lot of challenges, and that is what makes the job I do more interesting. You find that there are some very difficult client and you have to know how to deal with them in a way which will not upset them, but at the same time give them a chance to be in control of their life. I like my job because it makes me happy to see that I have helped a senior who is not able to help themselves and put a smile on their faces.

I am a very experienced caregiver for seniors who need care so the can remain at home. Honest, kind, professional and attentive. I follow instructions well. I am able to provide you with transportation, escort to medical appointments, light meal prep, light housekeeping, medication monitoring, in addition to exceptional caregiving. I have cared for people in hospice as well. I have worked with people who have Alzheimer's, strokes, Parkinson's, spinal cord injuries, MS and various other medical issues. I enjoy helping people maintain their level of independence for as long as possible.

We were extremely fortunate to have found James and to have had him as the primary caregiver for our mother, who suffered from Alzheimer's, for 14 years until she passed in March 2018. Through his devotion, commitment and care during that time, we were able to keep our mom at home and to provide a quality of life which would have otherwise been impossible to achieve. He is skilled at what he does and has an innate sensibility that all allowed him to be in sync at all times with our mom and her mood. He was patient, kind, caring and and good-nature despite the difficulties of the job. He never complained, was always punctual, often worked late and rarely took time off. He often went above and beyond what was expected. We could not have found a better caregiver than James and would recommend him without hesitation.

My experience for the past several years Is helping seniors stay in their homes providing meals , medication assistance , transfers , personal care, and hospice care. I am certified as a NAR and nurse delegated to assist with many types of needs. A bit about myself I'm 46 years old I have one adult son and grandchild . I have nothing stopping from being readily available to work anytime . I'm very passionate about the work that I provide and I love doing this work. The biggest part I feel passionate about doing this work with helping elderly or disabled is that if I can help them have a better day and be successful in living in their own home to me that's the icing on the cake and I go home feeling completely satisfied I am looking for full time work but I'm also available on last minute notice. I enjoy working as a team with other care providers and family I'm very big on communication and creating a happy environment for not only myself but my client and their families .

Heidi & her colleague, T. were absolutely amazing in helping us care of our mother who passed recently. They were there with us to the very end. We started with just a couple nights a week & as our mom got worse, we added additional days/hours. it is very important for all family members to have some sort of balance during these difficult times. They were extremely flexible and dependable, don't know what we would have done without them!
