About Rebecca

As a former elementary school teacher, with 15 years of experience teaching pre-school to eighth grade, I developed strong interpersonal skills, sensitivity to the needs of others in the busy flow of classroom activity, and the ability to be proactive as I anticipated the needs of my students. In other words, I am a clear communicator, intuitive regarding the needs of people I am responsible for in a work setting and I have common sense. I worked for three years as a nursing assistant in a senior care facility. My training and experience honed skills necessary to care for the senior/disabled population. The most significant gift I have to offer in working with people who are struggling with physical challenges is my deep care and respect for the heart and life experience of this population, along with my own experiences with health challenges. I have also worked as a volunteer with J and Friends Ministry to the disabled and the Phoenix Mayor's Commission for Disability Issues.
