About Rachel

I have 19 years experience as a professional caregiver. I have worked in DCFS licensed facilities for 13 years, operated my own licensed home daycare for 4 years and have been an in home nanny for the past two years. For 11 years I was a lead infant teacher in a day care center caring for infants and am very comfortable with their individual needs and managing their unique schedules. I am also a mother. I have been CPR and first aide certified. Having been employed in a state licensed facility I have my background check. I love animals, the outdoors, painting, singing, baking, and playing the flute for the little ones I care for. I would implement a simple age appropriate curriculum that would revolve around a weekly theme and include art projects, calendar, singing, and story time as well as time for free play. I seek to provide consistency in a loving environment that encourages individual exploration and growth as your child develops their sense of self and discovers the world.
