About Debra

I have made a career out of loving kids! I have two wonderful, grown, and successful children and have a great deal of experience with every age group from infant to school age. I also owned, operated, and maintained a home daycare/preschool for over 17 years - first in Lombard, then in Naperville. For the past 11 years, I have been a professional nanny for 4 different families and loved every minute of it. I will be looking for a part-time position on Wednesdays and Thursdays to help add hours to families I'm already working for on Mondays and Tuesdays or a full-time Monday-Friday. Some of the activities I enjoy sharing with children are reading, theme related weeks with coordinating learning material, outings to parks and museums, arts and crafts including messy science projects, and the library programs, just to name a few. I am a very hardworking, loving, and happy individual with tons of energy who loves to tap into my creative side. Everyday is a new learning experience with an opportunity to develop your child's individual strengths and weaknesses. Communication is key, as I work extremely well with parents on a daily basis. To put your mind at ease, I can provide many references over the years proving my competence and reliability. I am still in contact with most all of my past families and love to keep in touch. There is no greater joy than to delight in a child's accomplishments as you watch them grow. I am looking forward to my next forever family!
