I worked in the special needs class in high school and that was when I realized how rewarding it can be. It always brightened up my day to walk in the classroom and see all their smiles. I babysat a couple of the kids on weekends and during the summer. When I went to college, the church I attended had a special needs Sunday school class. I volunteered to work in that class twice a month and was able to teach a lesson and do crafts with the children. My son was born with a few different health conditions and we spent a lot of time in hospitals with surgeries and infections. During that time we became familiar with various medical care (catheters, colostomy bag, administering shots, multiple medicine schedules...). I would love to be able to meet your family and see if we are the right fit for you!
