Hi, I'm 23 years old and I just came back to the states after working and traveling for over a year in New Zealand and Europe. I spend a year in New Zealand where I worked as an Au pair (live-in nanny) for a few different families, one of which had an adorably 5-year-old boy with Down syndrome. I have worked with adults and teenagers with all kinds of developmental disabilities. I have also done respite care for families of children with Down syndrome, Autism, and developmental delays. However, most of my experience lies with children with Down syndrome. I plan to study special needs further in my education. It is a passion for me to work with these children. Right now, I am looking for part time nanny/babysitting work before I go back to school most likely in February.
