Hi! My name is Misty! My experience with children goes back to when I was 18, during this time I have cared for children ages 3 months to 12 years old in centers and through nannying. I love learning with reading, writing and all kinds of art activities! I am a recent graduate of Sierra College, I obtained several degrees and am looking to start my journey into upper division. I would describe my philosophy focused on love, nature and positive experiences with an avoidance of video screens. I have experience in both Reggio Emilia and Montessori learning methods. During my schooling I have obtained a lot of certifications, degrees and knowledge about infant/toddler development, psychology, food safety and nutrition as well as behavior management. Currently I am available for part-time work!

Misty has been our nanny for our now 6 year old daughter for the last 3 years. She is responsible, dependable and kind. Last year during COVID, she home schooled our daughter through Kindergarten and she is now reading and doing math at 2nd grade level. This accomplishment is largely due to Misty's one one one attention, patience and wonderful style of teaching and interaction. She is an extended part of our family. We won't be needing a nanny now that our youngest will be in school full time - but we are sorry to see her go - and would recommend her to any family looking for a reliable and loving nanny.
