About Mary

I'd describe my personality as positive, efficient, kind, active. I like caring for seniors. I cared for my husband with dementia full time for 3 years and had a caregiver to care for him while I worked prior to that. He passed away in 2020. I have 8 years of experience caring for my husband with vascular dementia. I worked for 16 years in special education with VCOE, with post secondary (18-22) at Dorothy Boswell in Ventura. So am familiar and have experience with both senior care needs and people with disabilities. I have a "can do" attitude and compassion for the infirm. I am able to help your loved one be as independent as possible while keeping them safe. In my spare time I paint, volunteer in an after school program, make greeting cards and play racquetball. I'm a widow with two grandchildren. My skills include meal prep, dispensing medication including insulin, toileting, bathing, housekeeping. I am fully vetted and am able to take you loved one out in the community.
