About Mary

Hi! I am a mother of four grown children and a recently retired law enforcement officer. My Dad, who as a wonderful man, was a full leg amputee with onset dementia. I was very involved with his care that he needed. Some of the care that I provided him was assisting with bathing, transferring from the bed to his wheelchair, wheelchair to toilet, setting up his daily medication, medication prompting, along with daily exercising and keeping him engaged. I fully understand the patience and care that is needed when we see our loved ones start to lose their independence. I believe it is very important to keep them engaged physically, mentally, while encouraging them to maintain the independence they still have and love, by allowing them to still do the things they are able to do on their own. I am currently practicing COVID safety precautions and limit my contact to my immediate family. I am scheduled for the vaccine within the next month. Good luck with your search! Best, Mary
