About Mary

I hold a Bachelor's degree in physics and a Master's degree in mechanical engineering, and genuinely enjoy helping others understand the major concepts of these topics. I know how demoralizing it can be to take a difficult class and struggle to grasp a new concept. My goal is always to collaborate with students, not lecture, to gain higher level comprehension. I tutored students on a weekly basis in algebra, 1st and 2nd semester calculus, and Physics 101 and 102, helping students with high level math and introductory physics topics. As a graduate, I tutored students in calculus, and have since helped others learn trigonometry and algebra. Working with students one-on-one, I have helped tutees grasp complex topics, complete assignments, and find new confidence. Hard classes can be a strain, so I aim to help students feel encouraged and excited about learning, get through classes, and find some fun along the way!
