About Marisa

Hello! My name is Marisa I am a current Junior at SUNY Cortland studying to get my degree in Early Childhood Education! I'd describe my personality as energetic, compassionate, caring. I started working with kids when I was 14 years old. I started by working as a coach for recreational gymnastics and worked with children ages 4-12. I then grew my passion for working with children through working as a babysitter for local families, summer camp counseling, working day cares, and even substitute teaching. In 2026 I will be graduating with over 250 placement hours in various infant care centers, preschools, and other school districts! One fun fact about me is that I taught at a Lime Hollow Forest Preschool for a semester. We went on hikes, learned to build fires and did many other educational outdoor activities! One thing you should know about me is that I am very organized and will do my best to ensure that all needs will be met!
