For 3 years I worked at the Els Center of Excellence (a school for kids on the spectrum) as a classroom aide. While there I helped to start an arts therapy program where I assisted with art, dance, and music therapy. Because of my work there I was asked to move to Peru and work at an orphanage for kids with disabilities. I was there for 7 months and worked as a child advocate and general caretaker for children ages 3-17. I am beginning to pursue a career in helping those with disabilities and it is something that is very close to my heart. I have the most experience with people on the spectrum, as many close people in my life are autistic, but I am more than open to learning how to connect with anyone.
