I am a very friendly, warm person who works very well with the elderly and disabled. I worked in the Activities Department of a nursing home in NY for eight years and developed my own group activities such as audio book, yoga for the disabled and bible study. I am desiring work that is helping the elderly and those in need in any capacity other than medical assistance as I have not been trained for that. I love giving one-on-one attention and encouragement. I am very willing to run light errands, light house cleaning if needed and light meal prep. For the last year and eight months I cared for a lovely woman with Alzheimer's. Her disease went from mild/moderate to advanced. I did my very best to meet all her physical needs and provided her with love and care and laughs so this difficult life change for her and her family would be eased and for her to continue to live home as long as was realistically possible.

Lorin's interest in people and their well being makes her one of the best caregivers I've ever known. She is friendly, honest, generous, and lovable. On the first day we met I felt as if I've known her forever. She took care of my sister (who had Parkinson's) for several years and became part of our family. My sister loved Lorin and the two of them had many special moments together. Lorin was always able to get smiles and laughter from my sister even if she was having a bad day. After my sister passed away Lorin was still there for me. Giving me emotional support as only a friend can do.
