I volunteered in the special education department at my school and with Special Olympics all 4 years of high school, and my last semester I did a full time internship in a Special Ed. classroom. I've been a partner and a coach for many Unified and Special Olympics teams. I am very passionate about working with people with special needs, which is why I am studying Special Education and plan to be a SPED teacher. I have worked with many kids who are high functioning, very low functioning, and everything in between. I absolutely love it! I am a full time student and work a few times a week at a restaurant. With enough advanced notice, I could work any night of the week as well as during the day Friday- Sunday.
