About Lindsay

I am a prior teacher with years of experience in the classroom, teaching at camps, and tutoring students, primarily Pre K through 2nd graders. I'd describe my personality as outgoing, welcoming and communicative. I like tutoring because the designated time allows for maximal enrichment and attention to the student's needs and learning style. I'm looking for a job that is built upon either a short term or long term goal and one in which we are able to designate a consistent schedule for sessions. I started tutoring when I was an undergraduate Education student. In my spare time, I like to volunteer in the community and with causes that are important to me.. One thing you should know about me is that I am an empathic tutor who can help to support your student's success through the development of a goal and a content plan. My skills include early reading focus, including phonics, syllabification and sight word identification.
