My whole life, I have volunteered or worked with special needs individuals. When I was young, I volunteered for Challenger's Baseball as well as for the Special Olympics up until I was in my late teens. I worked for an agency, ARC of Southington, for four years and helped special needs individuals with their daily living skills. In addition I also babysat for families with children who have developmental and physical disabilities. I am CPR and First Aid certified along with being Med certified through the state. I grew up along side my brother who has Down's syndrome. It is very rewarding to me to help an individual learn a new skill such as: tying their shoes, learning to ride a bike and rollerblading along with other things. I am now a Machinist by trade and searching for a great family to help.
