About Lauren

Hello! I am a licensed pediatric occupational therapist (OTR/L) with 7 years of experience loving and working with children and teens, both typically developing and those with special needs. I have a 7-month-old daughter, and have a lot of recent experience caring for infants. I have the summer off of my job (I currently work in the school district) and am seeking periodic work during weekday evenings and weekends. As a children's therapist, I would *much* rather engage with your kids than plop them in front of the TV or tablet. I love to create activities that both capture and challenge them, which best encourages growth. I stay tuned in: I know when it's time to crank up the fun and also when they hit their limit and it's time to wind down. I strive to strike a balance between giving structure and freedom. I can skillfully support problem solving during tussles, and I'm an expert at making doing something hard seem fun. I will happily provide references upon request!
