I have a son who is 11 year old and he is high functioning, with Autism. He has brought so much joy to us. Although Autism can be a label with varying challenges, I have been an advocate for him since he was 2 year old at his diagnosis and have just seen him grow and progress. I'm familiar with many behaviors, auditory, and sensory modification that a child with Autism may have. I have a "special" place in my heart and have compassion for children with special needs and know that each child is individual and needs certain attention and care for their own progress.
