My experience with special needs came from a previous family that I nannied for. The young boy had ADHD and required medication, counseling and follow through on behavior modification techniques. Another experience was a young boy I tutored who had Down Syndrome. He was a high functioning little guy who was able to learn to read and do some simple math. I enjoyed working with both of these children and providing the extra patience and support they needed.
