About Kelly

I would describe my personality as fun, carefree, active, responsible and loving. I like working with kids and the elderly because they keep it real. They are funny and keep things simple needing what I can easily give; love, guidance and reassurance. I don't have "paid" caretaker experience (except as a teenage babysitter) but I've raised 2 adult children on my own as a single parent. I also took care of my mother when she had cancer, and my elderly grandmother when she couldn't walk or drive anymore. I am an active person and in my spare time I like to be creative (do crafts and draw), swim, fish, garden, write, walk and dance. I am happy to take those I am caring for out on day-trips to do fun things like take walks, or go to a park or swimming pool (I used to be a lifeguard), go to the library, shopping, etc. My strengths for this position include patience, creativity (making things fun) and making others feel comfortable and loved. I am also a good teacher.
