Reading instruction is not a simple one size fits all method, nor do all learners need the same instruction. Rather than only teach one way, I analyze the student and follow his/her challenges in order to craft specifically what they need drawing from my trainings, experiences and learnings. I am currently a Reading Recovery teacher in Niagara Wheatfield. It is my job to take the lowest 20% of students in 1st grade and boost their reading skills up to grade level. I would love to have some work in the summer and continue what I love to do. I have 12 years teaching experience being a classroom teacher as well as well as an interventionist.
